The first season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch drew to its exciting and emotional close this August with the two-part finale “Return to Kamino” and “Kamino Lost”, and among the season’s many achievements was the introduction of the newest member of Clone Force 99 and our favourite new clone, Omega.
Much of Omega’s charm and overwhelming popularity comes down to the exceptional voice talents of New Zealand-born actor Michelle Ang, whose native Kiwi accent and chipper demeanour made her the perfect person to bring the curious and compassionate young clone to life. A few days after the season finale, Michelle took to Instagram to thank fans for showing their support for the show and to thank her “Star Wars family” for welcoming her into their ranks.
She wrote: “Cannot believe how welcoming the @starwars family has been. Thank you for having me play in your world @badbatchseries and thanks to everyone who watched the show. Throughout the series I have held my breath, cheered and choked back tearful moments right along with you all. See you for season 2 on @disneyplus.”
Don’t worry, Michelle. We’ll be right there with you next year for a new season of wholesome moments and heartache. 😉

saw on Twitter where you were starting an Omega fan site. For many weeks now I had been planning my own Omega fan site. I had been designing my logo, getting the title ready, etc. The reason I chose Omega was because she is my second favorite Star Wars character, my first being Ahsoka. We were literally going to launch this week, as I have been working really hard getting the title, logo, artwork, and posts all ready for this site. I was really anxious to create a unique place for fans of this character.
I had thought about starting an Ahsoka fan site, but when I saw that you already had one, I knew I didn’t want to copy you. I have been wanting to start my own fan site for some time now, so when Omega made her first appearance, I couldn’t wait to get started!

This site has been in the works for a few weeks now but I was waiting till my summer break to really focus on it properly. Work has been keeping me busy these past couple of months and I only managed to get some time off this week. No need to worry about copying me as there’s more than enough room for more than one site devoted to Omega. I’m sure her fans would appreciate having some variety and I’d be happy to share the link to yours once it’s up and running. 🙂
